The Best Science, Medicine and Care for Families
|
The cost of fertility treatment varies from patient to patient, depending on what services are provided and what your insurance carrier covers. Fertility treatment is advanced science, requires a high level of care and can be expensive. But the reality for most families is that the cost is not very expensive compared to other purchases. At The Center for Reproductive Medicine all our associates understand that cost is important to you. Don’t be embarrassed about talking with us about it. We’ll use our years of experience in fertility medicine to try to help. Our physicians will recommend the least invasive and least expensive treatments first. Our insurance specialists will take the time to make sure you get the insurance benefits you deserve. Our nurses will provide care that may contribute to your success. Many treatments are relatively inexpensive. Treatments such as ovulation induction and timed intercourse can cost under $2,000 and are often covered by insurance. Surgical procedures are often covered by insurance. The average costs for ovulation induction patients or IO (where fertilization can take place safely within the mother’s body) are $500 to $2,500. About 50 to 60% infertility patients conceive with ovulation induction. The average costs for in vitro fertilization or IVF (where the egg is fertilized outside the mother’s body) are $5,900 to $18,000, depending on factors such as egg sharing and medical coverage. Your cost will depend on your diagnosis and treatment. The best thing to do is to make an appointment at The Center for your individual diagnosis and treatment plan. Most diagnostic tests are covered by patients’ medical insurance leaving just the co-pay at this stage. The Center’s physicians will determine the best treatment for you and its financial specialists will review your costs and insurance coverage before you start treatment. Stay in touch with one of our financial specialists for updates throughout the program. The Center for Reproductive Medicine provides financing alternatives and an IVF Refund Program from Attain IVF®. Our financial specialists can also share information on how patients’ families have helped share some of the costs. |
