Affording CRM Infertillity Treatments & Care
You want a baby. And we want to help. Knowing that financial concerns top the list when it comes to infertility patient stressors, we want you to know that we have dedicated our lives to helping people have babies not only from a treatment perspective, but a financial one, too.
For starters, it’s important to note that CRM is not managed by shareholders, and we are proud to be the only physician owned IVF center in the Gulf Coast region. This allows us to make decisions that not only greatly impact our technologies and success rates, but the financial opportunities we can offer our patients as well. Having created a program where we share in our patients’ financial risks, we truly aim to make it crystal clear that we are driven by success, not by profiting from failed attempts.
It is our top priority to help you overcome barriers to your dreams and we provide in-house financial navigators to help every step of the way. We understand the financial constraints and fears many people experience and provide a judgment free team of warm and welcoming financial navigators. Together, we can help you and your loved ones explore the many financial options available at CRM. From understanding your insurance policy and our various medical loan partnerships to our Shared Journey program and the resources you may not be aware of, we are here to make your treatment affordable.
Interestingly, many patients walk into CRM intimidated by the perceived costs. However, they are all surprised and relieved to hear about the various payment programs we offer. You could never ask too many questions and no question is too small or silly to deserve a thoughtful answer. We are here to help you find the best price for your specific treatment plan and relieve you of any anxiety caused by money matters. This way, you can focus on what matters most. Below you will find some of our insurance tips and information as well as some of our unique fertility financing options.
Start With a Good Infertility Financing Strategy
Once you have your specific treatment plan, we always recommend starting with thorough research into your health insurance benefits. If you have health insurance, you know it can be complicated. However, you may be entitled to benefits you’re unaware of. Naturally, our financial navigators make every attempt to verify coverage for all our new patients, and we are here to work through details with you at any time.
However, to ensure the best possible outcome, we recommend that you become very familiar with your policy, particularly the requirements of the infertility-related portions of your health insurance policy. Skip those stressful bumps on the road to building your family and develop strong communication with all those involved, too.
The following steps may prepare you for engaging with your insurance carrier.
- Thoroughly read your policy.
- Call your carrier and ask for a list of which treatments and medications they do and do not cover.
- Take notes during each phone call and get the full name of the person you speak with.
- Ask about any age limits or maximum lifetime benefits.
- Ask if you need a referral and if so, how to get one.
- Be sure that you are covered to visit CRM. If not, ask which clinics your insurance covers.
Don’t Lose Hope
Even if your benefits are not as robust as you would like, you may still be eligible for treatment coverage. Many health plans cover diagnosing infertility, and your plan may pay for semen analysis, blood tests, Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) and initial exams.
Once your physician discovers the root cause of your infertility, you may still be covered if it is considered general medical treatment. For example, if you are diagnosed with endometriosis that contributes to your infertility, you may be covered for surgery to remedy it under general medical treatment.
Let CRM Help You
While it’s advisable to understand your insurance benefits, we are very knowledgeable regarding the complexities of insurance and strongly recommend that our patients seek the assistance of our financial navigators. We are here to help clarify and evaluate your existing coverage and to explore your options. It is our pride and joy to help our patients through the various financial aspects of infertility treatment that will help them realize their dream of having a baby.
Accepted Insurance
CRM currently accepts most insurance policies and participates in most major managed care plans. Please contact us or call us at 251-438-4200 if you have any questions about the financial aspects of reaching your goal as we want nothing more than the opportunity to help you create your family.
CRM Infertility Financing Programs & Partners
The CRM Shared Journey Multi-Cycle Discount Financing Program
Designed to provide multiple opportunities for success, this program was created by the caring CRM physicians to bring our patients peace of mind and to, quite literally, avoid putting all their eggs in one basket. This unique program provides patients with financial protection as CRM shares in the financial risk, too. Plus, there are no hidden fees or sudden expenses with the Shared Journey Multiple-Cycles financing program. The costs are set up front and fixed so our patients can plan and make informed decisions.
Built because every patient is unique and many elements come into play, the fact is that many of the women who choose IVF will not become pregnant on their first try. Knowing more cycles equal a better chance for success, this program allows for the transfer of all viable embryos when you choose either two or three egg retrievals, as well as an unlimited number of Frozen Embryo Transfers (FETs) until a live birth is achieved. Approximately 80 percent of patients who enroll in this program bring home a baby.
Together, we all share the same goal – for you to bring home a baby — and CRM does not cut corners when it comes to giving our patients every advantage available. From science and technology to medicine and the best physicians around, our Shared Journey Program is not only smart, but also trusted, simple, and affordable, and we are the only center in the region to offer patients this valuable customized resource.
CRM’s Infertility Treatment Financing Partners
Just as most of us secure a loan when purchasing a car, it is very common for those seeking infertility treatment to work with a lending institution, too. And it’s important to know that not all financial lenders offer options for infertility treatments. That’s why CRM has financial navigators and lending partnerships — and we’re all here for you to lean on.
To bring our patients the widest array of infertility lender services currently on the market, our financial navigators have partnerships with some of the nation’s best financial institutions. CRM can recommend customized loan plans that fit individual circumstances and treatment plans to ensure costs are covered. It is the sole-purpose of our financial navigators to assist patients in determining if all their decisions meet both their medical, emotional, and financial needs.
CRM Military and First Responder Discounts
It is our honor to help build families for those that serve or have served our country. CRM is immensely proud of our infertility physician and partner, Dr. George B. Inge, who spent many years in the military and achieved the rank of Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. If you and/or your spouse are on active duty or a veteran, we are happy to provide a 10% discount for IVF cycles, as well as reduced rates for monitoring.
Veterans Discounts: Compassionate Corps Program
This program, offered by our partner EMD Serono, enables eligible uninsured veterans with service-related infertility to receive free fertility medications.
Active Duty or Veterans Discounts: Compassionate Care Program
This program allows eligible active duty or veterans to receive up to 25% off of select EMD Serono fertility medications.
Mobile Infirmary Foundation Cancer Patient Fertility Preservation Grant
Through the generosity of the Mobile Infirmary Foundation, financial help is available for a limited number of cancer patients with financial need to receive a grant that can cover much of the cost of removing and freezing eggs and storing them for up to six months.
